Hi All,

This week sees the return to a full week of competition at the WBA and with that comes a brand-new Referees course.

If an official is wearing a bright green (sometimes plain white) shirt they are learning and under no circumstances is anyone to speak to or provide any feedback to them unless it is “Hey Great Job”

In the first few weeks they will be shadowing a Mentor meaning you will have a striped official running beside them before they progress to being on one end of the court on their own.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the game they are to be directed to the striped official on the court.

Lastly if an official is using a green whistle this simply indicates they are under the age of 18 years of age and should be treated in such a manner that is aligned with their age.
